‘The Carol Burnett Show’ featured an incredible fight between Lucille Ball and Carol Burnett in Season 1, Episode 6. The two women hysterically fight over none other than Tim Conway.
The two women walk out in nice uniforms and scoff at each other. Then, they walk behind their desks straight across from each other. They both reveal their company signs. One says, “Rent a Car,” and the other says, “Car Rental.” They look at each other, start dusting their counters, and end up sword-fighting with the dusters. They stop and stare at each other, and Carol sneezes.
Lucille falls back into her sign, and it falls down. Harvey walks in and gives his keys to Lucille, and he thanks her. Harvey says choosing who to pick was a tough choice.
Lucille says, “Well, don’t worry about her. It happens all the time. That’s why we’re number one, and she’s number two. Goodbye, Mr. Johnson,” she says, staring at Carol.
Harvey leaves and turns last second to say goodbye to Carol, “Goodbye, Dorothy,” he says solemnly. “Goodbye, Dad,” Carol responds angrily. They both do their makeup and wait for the next flight, and Tim Conway walks in.
Tim goes to Carol’s side, and they both pull him back and forth and offer him anything he wants to entice him. Carol and Lucille grab him by the tie on each side, and he starts to choke.
They compliment him, but he can’t focus because he is choking. The girls let go, and he chooses to go with Carol. Lucille and Carol start to yell at each other, and another woman walks in and offers for Tim to go on the bus. Tim looks at the beautiful bus woman and says, “I’m gonna go with him.”
