Accessibility is personal around here, and it gets treated that way. CountryBucket is built to be readable and usable by as many people as possible, including readers who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, captions, magnification, and other assistive technology.

What we do

• Our target standard is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.
• Every image in our library carries descriptive alternative text, written and reviewed as part of how we publish.
• Pages use semantic headings, readable type at comfortable sizes, and color contrast chosen for aging eyes as much as for style.
• The site works with a keyboard alone and behaves itself on phones and tablets.
• Where the platforms make them available, embedded videos offer captions through the player’s caption control.

Known limitations

Some content on our pages comes from third parties we do not control, including embedded video players and advertisements. Caption quality on embedded videos depends on the uploader and the hosting platform. We choose partners and settings with accessibility in mind, but we cannot guarantee third-party content meets our target standard.
