CountryBucket is free to read because it carries advertising. This page explains how that works, in keeping with the Federal Trade Commission’s guidance on endorsements and clear disclosure.

Display advertising

Ads on the Site are served by Google AdSense and its certified partners. Ad placements are generated by Google’s systems, and the advertisers you see are chosen by those systems rather than by our editors. We keep category filters turned on to block ad types we consider junk or predatory, because our readers deserve better. If an ad slips through that seems misleading or in poor taste, take a screenshot and send it to give-us-a-hollar@countrybucket.com; we review every report and tighten the filters accordingly.

Editorial independence

Advertisers and affiliate programs do not choose, review, or influence our stories. We do not publish paid posts disguised as editorial content. If a story ever is sponsored, it will say so plainly at the top.
