Country legend Naomi Judd’s family came together to honor her legacy. ‘Naomi Judd: A River of Time Celebration’ was presented by CMT and featured actors, musicians, and other notable personalities.
Of course, Wynonna Judd was in attendance. She and her Mother Naomi made up the classic country duo ‘The Judds.’ Wynonna performed the River of Time’ hit song to honor her mother.
The song was written by Naomi Judd and John Jarvis. Wynonna even changed the lyrics to bring more honor to her relationship with her mother. It is a touching tribute to a country legend and beloved mother.
Ashley Judd introduces her big sister Wynonna, and the crowd erupts in applause. Wynonna waves them off while taking a seat on a stool. The piano plays the emotional intro, and she begins singing about her mom.
Wynonna is dressed in all black with her long red hair flowing over her shoulders. Joined by a backing band with guitars, drums, and even a steel guitar, Wynonna sings the emotional ballad her mother wrote many years prior.
‘The Judds’ are considered country music legends by everyone who has heard their music. The fabulous duo blended their voices in beautiful harmony to produce excellent country music over the years.
Other moving tributes followed by Brad Paisley, Carly Pearce, Little Big Town, and Ashley McBryde. The night closed with Wynonna singing The Judds’ biggest hit ‘Love Can Build a Bridge.’
