Michelle loved animals and always helped the little innocent beings whenever they needed her. So, when Lucille, a rescue Chihuahua, came to her, the foster mom decided to help the feral dog, scared of human interaction.
Lucille was scared of Michelle when she arrived at her foster home. The feral dog would bark at her new mom whenever she came close to the crate. However, the kind woman was not the one to back off so easily.
She slowly started to get her attention and tried to get her out of the crate. Michelle knew that the little one had begun to warm up to her. So, one fine day, she took Lucille out of the pen so she could come out of her comfort zone, but the doggo was not pleased with this.
Lucille was not an aggressive-natured dog, but she lashed out at her mom because she was scared of her. However, the foster mom wanted the doggo not to be afraid of her.
The foster mom knew that Lucille had to interact with her. So Michelle made it a routine for Lucille. She would play with her every day outside her pen. One day, while they were playing, the little one flipped over as she tried to get out of her mom’s arms.
Then suddenly, Lucille froze in Michelle’s arms as she just discovered what belly rubs actually felt like, and she loved them. The foster mom kept petting her belly, and the little dog calmed down.
Michelle quickly learned that her dog loves belly rubs. Lucille was not that feral dog anymore. She went on walks with her foster mom’s other dogs. The doggo had become much more confident as her dog siblings supported her. She was happy staying with her foster family, waiting to be adopted.
