Kseniya Simonova, a sand artist and winner of Ukraine’s Got Talent, performs a semi-final piece about a couple separated by war. Her moving performance inspires audience members to reconnect with their loved ones.
Kseniya Simonova is a performance artist in sand animation. She is the winner of the TV show Ukraine’s Got Talent which is a part of the Got Talent series. When her husband recommended her to enter the competition, Kseniya complied. She presented a tow minute story and was selected as a semi-finalist.
This is her semi-final performance. Here she shows the story of a couple who is separated by war; namely the World War II. Her story moved the audience to tears and she got a deserved standing ovation. Her final performance was a story about a son who becomes successful and forgets his parents. After that performance, people came up to her on the streets and said “After watching your story, I picked up the phone and called my mom. I haven’t talked to her in a year. Thank you very much.”.
