What a treat it is to chat with you today about one of our favorite blasts from the past. You know what I'm talking about - that wiggly, jiggly, delightful dessert that graced many a kitchen table back in the day. That's right, and we're reminiscing about the iconic Jell-O!

If your memory is as sharp as mine, you'll recall those days when Jell-O was a staple in every household. Let's take a trip down memory lane, shall we? Remember how those colorful, molded desserts would take center stage at family gatherings and potlucks? Aunt Susan's lime Jell-O salad with pineapple and marshmallows, anyone?

It's amazing to think that Jell-O has been around since 1897, when Pearl and May Wait first combined powdered gelatin with sugary fruit syrup. Thanks to their ingenuity, we got to enjoy such classic flavors as strawberry, raspberry, orange, and lemon. And who could forget the marketing genius behind Jell-O, making it America's most famous dessert with the help of the adorable Jell-O girl, Elizabeth King, and her tea kettle?

As we well know, nothing stays the same forever. The 1930s brought us the fascinating Jell-O mold salad trend, turning leftovers into exciting and colorful side dishes. Then, in the 1960s, the world started to change, and Jell-O sales began to decline. But fear not, the brand came up with the catchy slogan, "There's always room for Jell-O," and new flavors to win us back. Do you remember when apple, black cherry, and grape first made their debut?

And who could forget the dynamic duo of Jell-O and Bill Cosby? His 30-year stint as their spokesperson revitalized the brand and made Jell-O a household name once again.
