Freddie Combs, a 40-year-old minister from Greeneville, Tennessee, lost over 400 pounds and performed 'Wind Beneath My Wings' on stage at an X Factor event, surprising the audience with his soulful voice.
Freddie Combs is a 40 year old minister from Greeneville, Tennessee. In 2009 he weighed 920 lbs. and he almost was near his death. By exercising and proper diet implementation he has lost almost 400 lbs. and is around 540 lbs. now. Coming so close to death changed his life. Needless to say, when he was wheeled onto the stage of X Factor by his wife, there were lots of looks of shock and disbelief.
But when he began singing, wow. Freddie sang ‘Wind Beneath My Wings’ by Bette Midler which he lovingly dedicated to his wife of 16 years. Listening to Freddie sing gave me goosebumps; what an amazing performance. He has a lovely and soulful voice.
