In Mae Taeng District, Chiang Mai Province, Northern Thailand, the Elephant Nature Park was a rescue center and a sanctuary for elephants. It is one of those few nature parks dedicated entirely to elephants.
Recently, a person at the Elephant Nature Park decided to capture some moments with these majestic animals from a very close distance. So the person decided to stand right under these elephants and spend some time with them.
The moment he got underneath one elephant, the mighty animal immediately called out to some of the other elephants nearby. It was as if the elephant was inviting others to come and interact with the tiny human underneath his belly.
Three elephants nearby answered the call and immediately trotted to the human standing underneath one of the elephants. It was surprising how the giant animals dealt with the person near their legs.
Despite their size, the elephants were really gentle with the person. They made sure that they did not harm the person in any way. For example, although the elephants walked around knowing that the person was underneath them, they ensured they did not trample the human.
The elephants spoke to each other in their language every now and then. One of them also tried to play with the human standing underneath the elephant's belly with the trunk. Instead, the person patted the mighty animal on the trunk.
All the elephants were missing their tusks. Since it was a rescue center for elephants, poachers might have stolen their tusks in the past. Nonetheless, the big animals were thankful that they could spend the rest of their lives in the comfort of the sanctuary.
