For most people who celebrate winter holidays, it is time with friends and family, presents and delicious meals that make this "the most wonderful time of the year." For cats, it is a different story.
If you are the parent of a cat, you already know that for festive felines, the best feature of the holidays is the Xmas tree. This was especially true at the home of Cole and Marmalade.
The kitties involved themselves in every step of the assembly process, including unboxing the fake tree. As soon as his dad opened the box, Marmalade jumped inside to give his cursory inspection.
But as anyone who owns a fake tree knows, there are several steps in the setup process. Marmalade helped insert the branches and pull apart the individual twigs of the tree.
Marmalade was not the only cat getting into the holiday spirit. The kitten, Zig Zag, was just as intrigued, munching on a few branches while his older brother looked on in approval.
Even Cole got into some holiday mischief. But when the tree was completed, Marmalade was the cat who decided to claim the fake Xmas tree as his new favorite hiding place.
